Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, please send me an email at photoquilts@photoquiltcreations.com.

Can I make changes to the quilt?
Yes. Just let me know what you would like, and I will work with you to create the quilt you want.

Can I send you my own fabric to use in the quilt?
Yes, you can send me your own fabric. Make a note in the Special Requests Box, and I will work with you to determine the amount of fabric needed etc. Depending on the amount of your own fabric being used, the cost of the quilt will be slightly reduced. Please pre-wash all fabrics before sending them.

Can you make a larger quilt?
Yes. Let me know what size you would like the quilt, and we will work together to create your design.

How is the quilt finished?
Quilts that have alternate photos and quilt blocks have machine quilting on the quilt blocks. If all the blocks are filled with photos, the quilt is hand tied. (There is no quilting on the photos.)

How do I send you the photos?
Photos can be emailed or sent by regular mail. Photos sent by regular mail are scanned, and will be returned to you with the quilt.

Do the pictures all need to be the same size?
No. Photos can be resized and trimmed as necessary to fit the quilt block.

Can the photos be printed in the original size, or do they have to be 6”x6”?
The photos can be printed onto the fabric in the original size. This will result in some white showing around the photos.

Can I use my own fabric and pens to create decorated fabric squares, or do I have to use the Fabric Decorating Kit?
If you have fabric markers you can use them to decorate your own fabric. Please indicate in the Special Requests box that you would like to use your own markers, and I will send you the specifications for the fabric.

Can I have my quilt made in colours to match my house?
Yes, send us some colour samples, and we can match the colours.

Are the quilts washable?
The quilts are made from 100% cotton, and are safe to wash by hand. We do not recommend machine washing.

How are the photos laid out on the quilt?
When you send your photos, please number them in the order you would like them placed, starting on the top left hand corner.

How long does it take to make the quilt?
Once you have approved the fabric selection and layout, your quilt will take 1-3 weeks to complete, depending on the size and custom changes.

I have a specific design in mind – can you make it for me?
Yes. Let me know what you would like, and we will work together in designing your quilt.
